When you are going through a very sad and boring weekend and your friends are partying hard; you need something great to feel alright. All my friends were partying at Cafe9 in CP when it was raining and the weather was awesome. On such an evening, Ankush and I were sitting in a cyber café waiting for Dale to wake up. Huger caught on us and we decided to make a move.
Plattershare will always have a special column for sweet toothed people and if you really want to pamper your sweet tooth on a stormy and windy evening, head out to Patel Nagar. There in the corner (Behind Patel Nagar Bus Stand) you would find a small jalebi shop which sells crisp and yummy jalebis. This was my refuge today. I might have missed out on a lot of things but this jalebi, no doubt, compensated for every bit of the missed fun.
Check out Friends. I swear by my sweet tooth that you won’t be disappointed and you definitely won’t give Chandni Chowk a thought next time you want to have jalebis.
"Sweet tooth is gifted to us by god"; Maybe god also knows how much the Indians crave for sweets. Being a foodie in Delhi, one has to swear by sweet shops in Chandni Chownk(special mention to Ghante-wala)which are established & into this business since ages and will be for many ages to come.
ReplyDeleteAs you mentioned of a small eatery in Patel Nagar; there are many such restaurants who have created a niche for themselves in market. Also they get widely publicized by word of mouth.
One such shop which I love for sweets has to be Bikanerwala chains outlet in Rajouri; or Om sweets in Tilak Nagar.
Am sure their will be many more in every area of Delhi.
